Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026 · DPDPA-compliant
SolvexaRetail uses only essential cookies. We do NOT use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because our cookie use is minimal and functionally required.

1. What cookies we set

Cookie namePurposeDurationCategory
.AspNetCore.SessionSession authentication — keeps you signed in as you navigateUntil you close the browser (or 480 min timeout)Essential
.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.*Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection on form submissionsSessionEssential
rc_userRemembers your login name if you tick "Keep me signed in" (stored via localStorage, not a cookie)Until you clear browser dataPreference
solvexa.tour.dismissedRemembers you dismissed the first-run tour (localStorage)PersistentPreference

2. Third-party cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies when their features are used:

  • Razorpay Checkout — set only during a payment flow, per Razorpay's Privacy Policy. No cookies set until you click "Pay".
  • Google Fonts — served with Cache-Control only; no tracking cookies. We use only 2 font families (Inter, JetBrains Mono).

We do NOT use: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, or any similar analytics/tracking tool.

3. Local storage & session storage

The Service uses browser localStorage for user preferences (theme, dismissed banners, last-used login name). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us or third parties. You can clear it any time via your browser settings.

4. Why no cookie consent banner?

Under DPDPA 2023 and current Indian jurisprudence, explicit consent is required only for cookies that (a) process personal data, and (b) are not strictly necessary for the requested service. Our essential cookies fall under the "contract performance" legal basis and do not require an opt-in banner. If you use the paid-tier Razorpay checkout, Razorpay will show its own consent as required.

5. How to disable cookies

You can disable cookies via your browser settings. Note that disabling the .AspNetCore.Session cookie will prevent you from logging in — this is a functional cookie required to keep your session active.

6. Changes to this Policy

If we ever add tracking or analytics cookies, we will (a) update this Policy, (b) show a consent banner, and (c) notify existing users via email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
