FAQ

Questions people ask before signing up

Is this really free? What’s the catch?
No catch. We’re in Beta and want real merchants using the product so we can polish rough edges before we start charging. Free plans stay free while we’re in Beta. AI Saathi is capped at 50 calls per user per day so a single account can’t run up our AI bill; beyond the cap Saathi keeps answering via a lighter local model.
How long is Beta?
Ends when we hit 100 paying stores worth of feedback. Realistically 6-9 months. You’ll get 3+ months notice before paid plans start.
What if I need more than 3 stores?
During Beta, email us at contactus@solvexaretail.com — if your case is genuine (chain expansion, franchise) we’ll bump your quota. After Beta the paid plans have unlimited store tiers.
Where is my data stored?
On our SaaS servers in Mumbai (DigitalOcean BLR1). Nightly backups. If you prefer on-premise, install SolvexaRetail on your own Windows/Linux server — same product, your servers, your data. Ask us at contactus@solvexaretail.com.
Does the POS work offline?
Yes. The Store App runs locally on the shop’s Windows PC and syncs to your HO SaaS whenever internet is available. Bills, KOTs, cash drawer — all work fully offline. Sync catches up on reconnect.
Does AI Saathi actually speak Hindi?
Yes. Ask “aaj ka bikri kitna hai” or “show today’s sales” — it answers in whichever language you asked. Inside the app you get 50 calls per user per day free; a WhatsApp interface is available on paid plans.
Can I customise the app on the free plan?
Yes — for reports. The custom report builder is free: design your own SQL reports, save them, share them across users. Building custom modules, changing page layouts or wiring custom workflows is a paid-plan feature — that lets us keep the platform stable and supportable for the free tier.
Is my GST return ready to file?
GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-9 are Excel-exportable in the exact format the portal expects. E-invoicing (₹5 Cr+ turnover) generates IRN + QR from every bill.
